More Abundantly
Happy Thanksgiving!
We will spending our day at home with family members. There will be eight of us around the dinner table. The best part is just being together.
Recently I visited the Carrollton United Methodist Church in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky. It is the church that my friend, the Rev. Mr. Clifford P. Sparks, pastors. He was the Best Man in the wedding of my wife and I in 1974.
After the service, I took a few pictures of the sanctuary, which was decorated for Thanksgiving.

Here's a close up view of the cornucopia on the Lord's Table:
The term cornucopia dates from 1508. It is a horn of plenty, overflowing with fruit and ears of grain that is used as a decorative motif emblematic of abundance.
When I see a cornucopia, I cannot help but think of Jesus who said: I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10b NKJV)
I pray that this day you will find life more abundantly in Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Harvest.
